I have been reading a lot of Johnny Ryan books recently. His most famous stuff is Angry Youth Comix, which is not very famous unless you are into underground comix. Now, the fact that I have been reading a lot of it means that I enjoy it to some degree, right? Well, yes, I think it's frickin' hilarious. I would not, however, recommend it to many of you. If you have ever been offended by anything you have read, don't ever read anything Johnny Ryan has written. If you think you could possibly be offended by a comic book, Johnny Ryan will offend you. Seriously. I could call him all sorts of derogatory things, but in all honestly, he isn't any of those things so far as I can tell. For example, in order to be racist, you have to believe that some races are better than some other races, right? Well, this stuff pretty much rags on eveyone of every race, creed, religion, nationality, age, sex, and any other division you can think of. No one is safe. Everyone is gross enough to do something sexual with something fecal. The only person who reads this blog that I honestly think would enjoy his stuff is Thom. Maybe Karen and/or Danny if they were caught in the right mood. So, not so much recommending as pointing out the existence of Johnny Ryan. Consider yourself warned.
