Ok, quick update. Last Friday=Buckethead show. Incredibly amazing. Dude is seriously the best guitar player I can think of. Maybe not the vision and soul of some other players, but certainly the most raw skill of anyone out there. Seriously ridiculous. I know Ziggy's is booking him again in October or November, so if you are in range of Winston and want to come, I strongly advise it. Also, if you see him coming anywhere close to wherever you live, go see him.
Point 2. Started my new job on Monday. BCBSNC has a workforce comprized of 95% women. Most are over the 35-40 range. Not that this is a bad thing, but it certainly makes for a strange work environment. So far still just training. Will the job be the amazing, fun dreamjob? No. Will it load me up on the cash I need to go to law school in a little over a year? Yuppers. At least if I have to work in a corporation, it is a not-for-profit one with no shareholders. Again, best possible solution? No. Viable temporary answer? Sure.
Point #last: Last night Jenn and I saw V for Vendetta. Wow. I won't go into too much detail because I expect those of you who have not already seen it to immediately run out and do so. Right now... I'll wait... go on... Ok, now that you all have seen it, wasn't it freakin' awesome?! An amazing story told amazingly well at an amazingly pertinent time in our world's history. Yes, Moore wrote it about the Thatcher administration in Britain. Yes, the Wachowski brother chose to redo it for a reason. And HOLY FUCKING KNIFE FIGHT! Natalie Portman wasn't to hard on the eyes in that little dress either, I might add.
