Need opinions

So it is looking like a honeymoon to New Zealand might not work unless the price of tickets go down. Where else should we go? I want someplace more exciting than an all inclusive resort and less expensive than $2700 for EACH plane ticket.

How about Rio de Janerio? Or Argentina or Chile? Southern hemisphere will be warm... haven't looked at ticket prices, but I'm assuming Madagascar wouldn't be any cheaper than NZ
