Dichotomy

Is humanity ultimately good or evil? Have we been in the pursuit of abolishing evilness and injustice for so long that we've become both? Is God then evil if we were made in His likeness, or have we made Him evil by our very actions? Does a Divine Being even exist if we have chosen to ignore the message of love and moved on to the message of prejudice and hatred? Is walking out on racism, like the various world leaders did during the meeting today due to Iran's cruel words, enough to help change the course of thousands of years of pure, blind disdain and loathing? Can love really save us at all, or are we doomed to continue down the path of evil until we eradicate each other in some catastrophic battle?

Fatigue has conjured up some very bleak thoughts today, and most of the above questions are probably rhetorical anyway. I just wonder if seeing a person's inner light is enough to abolish the exterior greed and, well, ugliness that pervades the earth right now, or at least the Western World. I wonder if developing third world countries is really all that noble, for their innocence, their proximity to nature and the core of mankind in its animalistic state may be more gratifying, more pure, than any technological wonder that developed nations can offer. I still believe Rousseau's Noble Savage is a fine balance between civilisation and animal instincts, for property is replaced by neighbourly kindness and no one is meant to go without. It's socialism without currency, for no one need barter to stay alive.

We are forever trying to study ourselves, rather than just being. Of course, education cannot be eradicated altogether, for knowing how to survive must be emphasized; however, if we spent more time creating a world wherein every person is seen as equal, wherein no one is above the other in any way, perhaps the leisurely pursuits that may follow will be richer, more rewarding, than if we constantly place each other under a microscope and study every idiosyncracy that may make the individual different than the whole. Working together, moving in a harmonious fashion, swaying to the beats of our heart whilst toiling for the best life possible for all, that is the most noble cause of all. I'd rather never be seen as an individual again if it meant happiness for everyone. I would gladly forgo any thought of self if the whole were given a better chance at survival. The pack mentality has been replaced by the fight or flight reaction at all times, and this is why the world is doomed to fail. We cannot keep running from each other, and we cannot keep fighting amongst ourselves; we must instead ban together and create the most beautiful etude the world will ever know. One breath, one heart, one life.

oneness, love, nature, humanity, harmony, evil, good, world
