Seattle-ing In
So I've been in Seattle since Monday and so far so good. John and I are getting along really well and I absolutely adore his puppies Jack and Cody. Cody's my buddy, he follows me EVERYWHERE! Between the roomie and the dogs and the neighbourhood and the things that have been weighing on me for two months not being a burden to shoulder anymore, the atmosphere right now could not be any more tranquil and relaxing. Peace of mind is a great thing to have if you can eek out finding it.
Right now seems to be a good time for jobs; it's getting towards holiday season yet but all the kids have just gone back to school. There seem to be a lot of jobs within the fields I'm experienced in and there seem to be a lot of openings right here in the neighbourhood.
Haven't really met too many people yet, but that will change as the folks I know up here start crawling out of the woodwork. Obviously there's John, and I met Dave, Tawnie's ex, who still comes around to play with the puppies even though she's moved to Tennessee, and tonight Joh has plans to kidnap me and make me some yummy dinner. I'll see who else pops up and wants to say hi.
That's all for now, other than that I'm missing Zac like crazy and I'm a big nerd and calling him multiple times a day. I'm kind of in a blissfully ignorant denial mode right now, where I don't think it's really sunk in yet that I'm 4500 miles away from him and have no idea how many months or years it will take to be able to see him again. I'm happy for right now and things seem to be going amazingly well, but once reality finally gets past my mental barrier and smacks me upside the head, who knows, lol.
