Yesterday I woke up, looked at the seafoam green bathroom and was determined to have it gone by the end of the day. So, I bike a nice twelve-mile loop to Benjamin Moore and back before lunch. I had two tuna sandwiches, painted the entire bathroom "Ramie" and then put all the fixtures back. Luckily, yesterday was so warm that I had the window open, the sun shining in, and the cat hanging out on the window ledge with me while I painted. After cleaning up the brushes and rollers and putting the ladder away, I changed clothes and went for another bike ride. This one was eight miles up and down rolling hills in Duke Forest and then straight down a giant curving hill on Mt Sinai Road. I underestimated how terrifying it can be to watch the bicycle odometer read 32 miles per hour. I was pretty tired by that point, since I had run out of water and the humidity was making me sweat a lot more than usual. I am not adjusted to southern climate yet and with temperatures in the 80s yesterday I felt kind of wilted. I can't wait to see how red my cheeks get when it hits 100 degrees. Oh boy.

Anyways, there are a few pictures of the much more neutral and clean looking bathroom here. Unfortunately, there are no "before" pictures.

Yay for fresh paint. Sadly, as a renter, there is nothing I can do about the really cheesy looking seashell-shaped sink. The picture is taken from the hallway because it is too small to take pictures inside.

We already had these beige towels and striped rug that go nicely with the new paint color.

A family friend has a few hundred pieces of art from an "ousider" artist who makes things out of trash and printer paper. I am not sure I get his art, but they are more legible in raking light, under those uber bright vanity bulbs.
