Losing the Spirit After Vacation
LAst night after a long drive and too much pop-pop my son lost the contents of his stomach. This in and of it'self isn't unusual for a toddler whose been given anything he wants to eat, wherever he wants to eat it on top of a long drive from the Atlantic Ocean to our home on the left side of the Hudson.
But here's the kicker. Husband Mine's sister was in the hospital for just such a malady earlier in the week. What a swell thing to do on your vacation, huh? Her daughter had some of it (thankfully not as bad as to need hospitalization) and a family friend and all of her children had it as well.
So it was not surprising when Husband Mine started feeling ill last night. In the middle of the night he too sucumbed to the loss of spirit and is now a miserable heap of pain and yuck.
Joy.
I am hoping, beyond hope, that I don't get this or pass it on to anyone else in this house.
