Boooooooooooooooooooooooks
Last night we went to the book faire at school. And we spent (or more to the point, nounsandverbs spent a lotta money. Not only did we get a book for each of their classes, but there was the angst and drama over their choices.
Books, we insisted on. Not notebooks (that were 3 dollars that I could get at a dollar store for 50 cents), not stuffed animals, not those Klutz books, not the color on velvet boards, no markers, not pens, no bendy pencils... You see where we're going.
Matt and seorgia waited on line and I took the short attention span theatre children to the playground. They had a cool piece of equipment. It's called a zip-line. It's a handle on a line that you hold and slide. It looked like a lot of fun. We had to lift Gwennie up to reach it.
Matt came buy dragging the ton of books he bought. Celia didn't think he was funny... but I did.
Today we went to the used bookstore run by the Middletown Library. I had some really good luck there last year. This time, although I found books, I didn't find the uber cool books I had found last year.
Came home and napped a very uncooperative Charlie and made dinner. It's been a book-love couple of days!
