being in jersey...
has been pretty good so far. still looking for a job. tomorrow i actually plan on driving around and just handing in my resume to a few places in the area as well as fill out some applications. my unemployment is about to run out so if i can't find a job in the animal care field, i'll have to go back into customer service or retail again. as long as i continue my vet tech courses, i can keep looking for an animal care job and once i get my certification, i think my chances of actually getting a job in the field will be a lot higher. in the meantime, i'll just take whatever job i can get to make ends meet. still looking for a car, too, saving up money slowly but surely. the summer is going well. haven't been out too much due to my lack of car and funds, but i've managed to get out a few times just to enjoy the summer a bit. been down to wildwood and got a nice lil tan goin. saw a couple of movies so far including you don't mess with the zohan which i thought was funny and the new indiana jones which i loved. went to nyc pride yesterday which wasn't too bad, but it rained a lot and the bars/clubs were too crowded to go into. but at least i got to go with my friend lourdes who's fun to hang out with and i met up with ria and her friend angela who were real cool. i've got an appt with a new pet sitting client tomorrow night which is looking like a steady monday through friday gig taking care of her new puppy and her bf's dog. should be cool. i've also got my first date tomorrow. first date in 6 months since i've been single! actually, i haven't been on a real date in like 2 years. oh man. i'm kinda nervous but excited, too. i don't wanna jinx anything so i'll just say that i'm looking forward to it and i hope it goes well. hehe it was kind of a random thing. i spent all these months purposefully avoiding the dating scene but after talking to this girl until 5 am the other night, i felt like we really hit it off just from the convo so i figured what the hell. why not? lol it should be fun. :)
