GO JOE BIDEN!
So Joe Biden is widely mocked as being a gaff machine because he speaks his mind too often and this can piss people off. This has always rubbed me the wrong way -- that someone who is honest (sometimes brutally so) in all of their faults as well as merits, should be the subject of scorn for it.
Recently, Joe Biden said something that reminded me why I treasure brutal, and sometimes uncomfortable honesty. With reference to Israel, he said: "You're not going to like my saying this, but [don't] build more settlements."
He's not so much of a gaff machine, IMO, but rather a man with the enormous balls to tell it like it is, no matter what.
