The Macy's Thanksgiving parade got RickRolled:

You know, it's strange and wonderful, the internet. Here's this guy who was a bit of a one-hit wonder -- popular for his gorgeous voice right up until
he did a video and people saw what he looked like and how freaking awkwardly he danced. So his career petered out, doing smaller and smaller gigs, album sales declining, until he's living a comfortable existance somewhere, doing whatever forgotten 80s pop stars do.
And then suddenly, out of freaking NOWHERE, MTV Europe is giving him a huge award, and he's invited to sing at the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, and this isn't the end of it, either. The internet is constantly competing with itself, and somebody is going to try to find something even bigger -- and eventually will succeed.
I love the internet.
(BTW, another cool thing -- He's on the Cartoon Network float. Which means that when the Cartoon Network was planning their float, someone suddenly said: "Holy shit. We can do whatever we want with this. We can RickRoll the parade. I want to know who that person was.)
