so i had 10 extra minutes this morning

Borrowed from Em 'cause it sounded like fun and i have a book right next to me.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

"The stranger took a deep breath and said: 'I know how dangerous it is to keep these texts."

it's from The Secret Supper by Javier Sierra. it just came out on 3/21/06 - i only know that 'cause i'm a book nerd and i had to prep them last week for lay-downs. i read the blurb and it sounded intriguing so i picked it up at the library (i'm not about to pay for it when i don't have to) and it is my reading selection for the day since, let's face it, i pretty much never have anything to do here at "real" work.

which brings me back to my original point...

so somehow i managed to get ready super-quick this morning so i was 10 minutes ahead of schedule (which was throwing me off) until i found myself explaining to my mother that i want to update my resume and apply for this job in Boston and there went those 10 minutes out the window... the job is a resident advisor position at a school for this educational tours company and i think it would be pretty cool. at least then i would always have something to do, plus it is way more related to my undergraduate field of study than what i'm doing now. plus it might be the perfect filler for my "gap" year before i go overseas to grad school. (Note: i'm taking the GMAT in july and applying for grad schools overseas in france and england starting in fall 2007. at least that's the current plan anyway). Who knows? i may love the Boston thing and do that for a while. or i may not even get the Boston thing. it never hurts to apply though and if i don't get it, well, then i'm no worse off than i currently am.
