Of course stolen from Renee, she always has good things to keep me occupied. ;)
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
I graduated from college, moved home again, started two new jobs (which is quite enough thank you) and made lots of new friends in the process.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Since i never do them, i guess yes.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not yet, but my aunt is pregnant again - 4 under 4! she's due in july and we think it's going to be another girl.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
yes. my grandfather.
5. What countries did you visit?
Sadly, none but the good old US of A. I guess i need to get out more. ;)
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
A place of my own, life in a different city (or country even, i'm not too picky) and perhaps a job that i feel like i'm really using my degree for. Or maybe the courage to go back to school and start my masters. who knows?
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 15. That's the day my grandpa died.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Depends on who you ask. I think graduating from SLU was a pretty big one, as is the whole getting and keeping two jobs, but maybe that's just me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not going abroad to teach or to visit or to just go before i got stuck in the "real world".
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Besides the bruises i still have from the sort from dropping books on my feet/toes/head...no. maybe the occassional headache or tiredness, but that's to be expected i think.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I think the soundtrack to Wicked. again, i seriously need to get out more.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Everyone who writes me back or sends me things in the mail or reads my updates or calls me. and my parents of course for letting me come back home and live relatively rent-free.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
the rioters in France, the taxi people on strike in NY...mainly people who were trying to fight the system that was relatively ok to beging with.
14. Where did most of your money go?
in the bank. sadly it's not growing as fast as i would like it to.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Graduating, visiting STL in July, my 22nd birthday outing with my family, seeing my baby cousins over Thanksgiving, seeing out of town friends and relatives, Christmas, Halloween, the Derby...holidays in general really.
16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
Anything by Cold Play. That freaking CD only played in Borders for like 4 weeks straight and it became another form of torture.

0.
24. What was your favorite TV program?

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

The Razor's Edge - again, much thanks to Renee.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Wicked! and i get to see it in March!

HP 4 and Memoirs of a Geshia. i still haven't seen Narnia.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
visiting/hearing from my friends more often.
33. How would you describe your fashion concept in 2005?
transitional. i'm somewhere between college student and serious downtown urbanite.

Sleep and eat when you can, you never know the next time you will be able to.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Take the photographs and still frames in your mind
hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
tattoos and memories
and Askin on trial
for what it's worth, it was worth all the while
it's something unpredictable
but in the end that's right
i hope you had the time of your life
