an edited version of the first of the summer updates

I have entitled this summer "Five drivers and Four cars". My brothers
both have jobs working at a local pizza and sandwich place...they made
Dan, the older of the two, a delivery boy this year which is funny
because he really doesn't know his way around town, i never have my
car and when i do, it smells like pizza and other sandwich toppings.
ick. i'm still trying to get him to invest in a good bottle of
fabreeze. I have more pictures of John and Mittens (his "girlfriend", not a cat) from the other prom...they are so cute! he still denies they are dating, but whatever. He, on the other hand, keeps stealing my t-shirts b/c he
likes the weird designs on them and uses more of my moose than i do.
They both go out to big concerts or frisbee golfing every weekend with
their friends which also leaves me playing answering service for all
their friends that call the house.
As for me, i have been enjoying my mini "vacation". i'm making weekly
trips to the library (you know me, i need a constand supply of "fun"
books--hint: any suggestions for reading material is more than
welcome). This week's most interesting read so far (i'm in the middle
of re-read The War of the Worlds but read on) is call The Five
Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris, the woman who wrote Chocolat.
The main character, Framboise (rasberry, and yes that is her real
name) is kind of mean, but the plot line is strong and i of course
enjoyed the suspense, the food references and it's set just outside of
Angers, France. (i still want to go back!). i highly reccomend it if
you get the chance. (i have a distinct feeling that other book
reviews will also be a part of future updates, so keep that in mind or
just skip over that part if you aren't really interested.)
Sleeping in has been another great pastime, but i'm trying to taper
off so re-adjusting to a work schedule won't be so hard. I went
clothing shopping briefly with my mom and got some great stuff super
on sale at Kohl's and i've been spending a lot of time finally getting
my pictures developed and making copies at Sam's Club. The job hunt
starts soon...i know i keep saying that, but i really mean it this
time. The lack of incoming money will start hurting my pocketbook
very soon and perhaps with interviews and such i can finally steal
back my car from my brother. ~sigh~ talk about a luxury. Also,
putting all this fancy education to good use is probably a good idea
too. Suggestions and tips also welcome on this front if you have any.

one last addition: my brother dan got a major ticket yesterday - not only was he speeding, but add in showing off which in cop talk translates to reckless driving AND since he was driving my other brother's car and the insurance was not up to date, this ticket is at least going to be $300. Guess where his paycheck money will be going for a while. and my father is not at all pleased with the reckless driving bit. i know this sounds selfish, but perhaps it will speed the return of my car to me for a while. that's about all for now. (Renee, if you would like to get the full updates on a regular basis, do me a favor and send me your email again so i can add you to my list. thanks!)
