Type O Negative FUCKING SUCK!!!
Yeah you read right! They are nothing but a bunch of fucking arseholes.
Went to see them at the Birmingham Academy last wednesday. It was a birthday present from iccle sis and seeing as last time I saw them they were awesome I was really looking forward to it making up for my failry crap birthday.
As it happened they ruined it completely by being absoloute arseholes!
Paradise lost were supporting and while I don't know an awful lot of their stuff I enjoyed them, they played well. We then waited an hour and a quarter for the up themselves tossers to eventually grace the stage. Paradise Lost finished at 9pm The stage was ready by quarter past 9 so it was obvious they should have come on at half 9 and played till curfew which would have been 11pm giving us an hour and a half set (as any other band would do), but no they turn up at quarter past 10, no apologies for the delay, no hello, not even any ocknowledgement toward the crowd and just launch into their set. Admittedly we figured maybe they were pissed off at the crowd booing them on but to be honest we'd been stuck listening to the same Black Sabbath cd over and over again the whole time we were waiting, we had a right to be pissed off! It got fucking boring!
That's when we realised that Peter Steele was fucking wasted! He actually looked completely unaware of where he was and later on as he appeared to sober up a little he just didn't care where he was. My Theory....They'd spent the last hour and a quarter trying to wake/sober up/un drugify him enough to play. What an arsehole!
They ripped through a quick 1 hour set without talking to the crowd once, they only actually played a max of 5 songs and spent the rest of the time jamming and fucking about which really pissed the crowd off and Steele only sang a couple of times, the rest of the time he talked or fucked about or left it to the rest of the band and at the end they just walked off. Nobody knew if they were coming back on or not but seeing as it was now quarter past 11 and past curfew we figured not. Then the booing started and the atmosphere got realy nasty. The arrogant little fuckers known as Type O's drummer and guitarist had the audacity to come back on stage and video the booing and the you suck chants while taking the piss and laughing at us at which point we left before people started tearing the place apart!
At £20 odd quid a ticket I don't care what you think your owed but you have no fucking right to put on that kind of fucked up show and stull take people's money for it! I did want the new album, I was hoping to get it for my birthday. I didn't get it and I certainly shan't be wasting any more money and buying the fucker!!! I'm sure they lost many fans last Wednesday and I was most definately one of them!
