HAI GUYS!
I know, I've been totally remiss in updating people with what's going on on this trip. The Comic-con pics are still being sorted through, so I'm going to be making out-of-order photo posts. :)
And so, today we have...me and Mickey lazily strolling around Chinatown and Little Tokyo, looking at cute stuff and half nekked anime chicks, because that is how we roll.
So first Mickey took me to this neat little place called the
Urth Caffe where we had lunch...
Cutest coffee I have ever seen. Almost makes me sad I don't drink coffee. :)
And then off for a little drive through Chinatown. Love how the signs have a vague phonetic approximation of the English street name.
Again, this is just cute.
We had to go see the
Thien Hau temple, because it is absolutely gorgeous. Someone made a really neat interactive tour of it
here.
Main altar.
Hell bank notes. So your ancestors never run out of cash. :)
The columns at the entrance look so freaking awesome.
I'm being told that if you lay down underneath that horse at midnight on New Year's Eve and rub its belly, it will bring you good luck.
:D :D
Little Tokyo!
Saw a couple of trendy stores--mostly bought stuff for other people XD But I did grab volume 26 of "Bastard!!" and volume 8 of "Hellsing" over at Kinokuniya. :D
On the crosswalk...
A few shots of Downtown as we leave.
The post office annex...
..and Union Station.
Time to go do stuff. Laters for more pictures! :)
