(no subject)
Okay, so I had something to post yesterday and now I don't remember what it was. Oh well.
Thank you to the Toronto Hydro workers who after at least 3 weeks (as I;ve only lived here that long) finally replaced the burnt out bulb in the street light across the way. It now glares blindly bright into my bedroom being as it's directly even with my window and in lie with my eyes when I am lying down. I am contemplating going out tonight and breaking it. Cursed metal halide!
Finished my new Kim Harrison book. Yeah! I giggled very much at the pudding nymphos, but now I have to wait til March for the next one to come out. Boo! :( In the back it has what has got to be the stupidest blurb for a book I have ever read. "Roman Draganesti is charming, handsome, rich...and a vampire. But he just lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to get sexy dentist Shanna Whelan to repair his teeth before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lop-sided eater for all eternity." Now really, who wants to read about a vampire's visit to the dentist? Who enjoys the dentist enough to want to read about it irregardless of who is going. It made me giggle though at the stupidity of it. Of course, it could be a really good book and she just needs a better synopsis writer. I often find that the back of the book does nothing for a book. Like the 900 page epic I just finished reading. According to the back it's about Queen Bordeica (spelt incorrectly most likley) but she's only in a very small fraction of the book. It was still good. But not what I was expecting. Stupid synopsis writers. I bet I would make a good one. Anyone know where I can get a job doing that?
