“Don’t think I haven’t noticed the sexual tension between you and Richard.”
“Whaa…at?” Kahlan mumbles, looking at Cara with wide eyes. The Mord’Sith has no reservations on discussing these matters but coming up with it while they’re tending the horses?
“You know that my duty is to be by Richard’s side all the time… well except from the times he makes me stay with you or he’s having a bath, but that’s not the point.-“
“Yeah, what is the point? I’m a little in the dark to why you bring up some supposed sexual tension between me and Richard while we’re cleaning the horses and with Richard and Zedd somewhere behind those trees.”
“Because it’s the only time we’ve been alone ever since I wanted to talk to you. And because your sexual tension will turn into sexual frustration and in a moment of weakness it could turn to devastation. You know that Richard takes care of his… uhmm… needs?”
Despite herself Kahlan blushed and look away. “Cara…”
“All I’m saying is that you should take of your own as well. Or it’s gonna get worse. I’ve seen how you react when Richard touches you. You are more afraid of your feelings than when I first met you. If you… pleasure yourself, you will be more comfortable around Richard and you can enjoy some sort or relationship with fewer worries about losing control.”
“Cara?”

“Thank you.”

“Uhm, for acting like a human?”
