Movie Marathon
"You guys are gonna love this!" Ashley promised, setting the giant bowl of popcorn on the table.
"Sure," Carlos said, sarcastically, as he reached for a handful.
"If you say so," TJ added, doing the same.
"Hey!" Ashley protested, slapping his hand away. "That's for the movie!"
"Carlos got some!" TJ protested, rubbing his hand.
"No more until the movie starts," Ashley chided. When she started back towards the kitchen, Carlos nudged TJ, and gave him half the popcorn in his hand. TJ smiled a thanks.
"So when can we start this movie?" TJ asked, munching on a kernel.
"Marathon," Cassie corrected, leaning over the couch to set down a bowl of chips. "Movie marathon."
"Right," TJ said with a grimace.
"As soon as the others get here," Ashley told them, setting down another bowl of chips.
Carlos looked at his watch, "Well when-" Just then the doorbell rang.
"Come on in!" Ashley called heading back into the kitchen.
"Sorry we're late!" Zhane said louder than was strictly necessary for the relatively quiet house.
"You're right on time," Ashley promised, walking over to greet them. She took Andros' hand and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "You guys have a seat, we just have a couple things to finish in the kitchen. Hey," she added, turning back to them, "Karone, do you want to help?"
"Sure," she said, following Ashley and Cassie into the kitchen. "Wow," she blinked, seeing the disarray of the room.
"Throwing a good party requires a messy kitchen," Cassie told her.
Ashley took a jar out of the fridge. "We're making pizza's," she explained to Karone.
"Yeah, it's tradition," Cassie said, tossing her a bell pepper.
Karone caught it and examined it, not particularly enlightened about what was going on.
"Every time we do this, have a movie marathon, if we're the ones who picked the movies, we make the boys dinner." Ashley explained.
"Oh," Karone was still wondering what she was supposed to do with the oddly shaped green vegetable that she was holding. "What happens if they pick the movie?"
"They order takeout," Cassie made a face as she started to slice the mushrooms.
Ashley giggled. "Yeah. Oh, but don't worry, if we cook, they're the ones who have to clean up," she said with a grin.
"That seems fair," Karone said, still wondering what to do with the vegetable.

Zhane plopped himself down in one of the oversized armchairs. "So, what exactly are we watching?" he asked, grabbing a handful of chips.
"Those are for the movie," TJ said mockingly.
Carlos snickered while Andros and Zhane exchanged confused looks. Zhane shrugged and started munching on the chips.
"I don't know, Cassie was talking about Beauty and the Beast earlier," Carlos told him.
"Again?" TJ groaned.
"What's Beauty of the Beast?" Andros asked.
TJ and Carlos looked at him. "I almost forgot that you're not from this planet," TJ shook his head.
"It's Cassie's favorite Disney movie," Carlos explained.
"What is a Disney movie anyway?" Zhane asked, grabbing another handful of chips.
TJ was trying to figure out how to explain that when Ashley's voice drifted into the room. "It's show time!" she announced brightly, carrying in a pitcher and some glasses. Cassie and Karone followed with more glasses and a couple of bags of what had to be candy.
They all spent a few minutes distributing drinks and rearranging themselves so that they all had a view of the television. "Ok, are we all set?" Cassie asked from her spot on the floor.
"Let's see," Ashley said, doing an inventory of their snacks. "We all have drinks, we have popcorn, two kinds of chips, pretzels, M'n'M's, and kisses. The pizza will be ready in about 20 minutes. Yeah, I think that's everything," she smiled, sitting down on the couch next to Andros.
"'Kisses'?" Karone asked.
Zhane, who had somehow managed to convince her, and Andros, that the only place left to sit was squished into the chair with him, reached over to grab the bag of kisses from the coffee table. "Chocolate," he explained, holding up the bag.
"Oh," Karone smiled.
"First up: Aladdin!" Ashley exclaimed
"So, does this mean we can eat now?" Carlos asked hopefully.
Ashley shot him a look as she turned on the tv, "Yes, boys, you can eat."
Right on cue, Zhane managed to get the bag of kisses that he had apparently been struggling with open. Unfortunately, the bag ripped, and kisses went flying over half the living room.
Everyone turned to look at him. "Who wants a kiss?" he asked, offering up the bag.
"Me," Karone smiled, ignoring the mess.
Zhane grinned for a moment, then kissed her.

"Ok, now this really doesn't make any sense!" Zhane said, protesting for the fifth time. "If he's a sorcerer, why can't he do his own magic? Why does he still need the genie?"
Andros glanced at Karone at that comment, but she just snickered.
"Because even as a sorcerer he can't do everything he wants," Ashley explained.
"But he just wished to be the most power sorcerer in the world!" Zhane objected.
"He is," Karone said, surprising everyone. It was the first time she had spoken since the movie began. She glanced around the room when she realized that everyone was looking at her. "Earth doesn't have very powerful sorcerers," she shrugged.
Zhane was the first to burst out laughing, everyone else followed suit shortly after.

"He has hair everywhere?" TJ asked.
"Cause it looks like he shaved this morning," Carlos suggested. The two of them had joined Zhane in his mockery of the movies, which had made them far more entertaining.
"Shh!" Ashley shushed them. Again. As much as she tried to pretend to be angry at them, she had to admit, they where funny.
Gaston continued singing on the tv.
"It is impossible to eat that many eggs," Andros said, and the room dissolved into giggles again.
***
"Are they about to sing again?" Andros asked.
"Yes," TJ and Carlos said in unison.
Andros groaned. He wasn't the biggest fan of musicals, but that wasn't what he disliked about these songs. The problem was Zhane. Every time a song played, Zhane would try to sing along. And, considering that Zhane had never heard any of these songs before... The music started and Andros groaned.

"Wait," Zhane said, again. "So, he can fly, and he fights pirates?"
"Why did you show him this?" Andros asked, turned to Ashley.
"It's Peter Pan! I didn't think-"
"On to Never Land!" Zhane said, now standing on the chair. Karone was still sitting in it, looking up at him, highly amused.
Andros hid his face in his hand, shaking his head. This was not going to end well.
"Second star to the right and straight on till morning!"

Zhane apparently stopped paying attention to the actual story line of the movie about half way through. By the time it was over, he had declared himself one of the "good pirates" and had tossed popcorn, which he insisted was pixie dust, on Andros at least three times in an effort to make him believe in magic.
"Ok," Ashley said, turning off the tv when the credits started to roll.
"Aww, it's over?" Zhane said with a pout.
"I think that's enough Disney magic for one day," she told him.
"Yeah, I think it's time for bed," Carlos said, stretching his arms above his head.
"Oh no," Cassie picked herself up from the floor.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Ashley asked.
"What?"
"We cook, you guys clean up?" Cassie reminded them.
TJ groaned, "Oh, right."
"Come on ladies," Ashley smirked. The 3 girls headed upstairs, leaving the boys to handle the mess in the kitchen and the living room.
"Do you think they can handle it?" Karone asked, looking back at the mess Zhane had made with the chocolate and the popcorn.
"They'll be fine," Cassie promised. "Though knowing those four, they probably won't be done for a couple of hours."
