Reality

Why is it that the jubilation which comes with good ideas never actually lasts very long? Moving in with Sandy seemed like such a good idea, until I realised that in order to move in with him I have to move out of my place first - which means sorting and packing an unhealthy amount of books and generalised crap! Some of my crap surely hasn't seen the light of day since the Roman's were in charge. What if there is something dark and nasty lurking in a cupboard somewhere? The big spiders might be the least of my problems! Why is J.K.Rowling's world so far away? Why does waving a stick around whilst spouting fake Latin never actually achieve anything - apart from make me look like I need more medication? Where have all the house-moving fairies gone - are they on holiday/strike/dead?

It is for this reason that I have decided to learn the ancient and subtle art of procrastination. There are many things in the world more important than packing - such as reading Harry Potter, eating chocolate, updating my livejournal and teaching my guinea-pigs to sing the Czech National Anthem whilst performing handstands - (they're coming along nicely now). I think I'll just bury my head in the sand for a while and see what happens. Wish me luck.
