ten days in taiwan and hongkong
the place with beautiful rocks - yeliu
tallest building - taipei 101. i was really amazed with all the explainations of every part of the building. the tortise shaped thing, the "clouds" that make up the building edges.. all for fengshui.
jiu zhu wen hua chun; 9 tribes cultural village. it was also an amusement park and i almost died on the viking with my mom. nonetheless, the carousel was nice, and reminded me a lot of paris.
see the tall tower below? it's a ride in the amusement park that sees you to the top of the world and slam you down in a matter of seconds. i only saw two japanese tourist took the ride in the few hours there. how would any one muster that kind of courage? it was even higher than our cable car ride!
we visited a lot of temples, so since i wasn't very much needed to be involved there - a lot of photos. i love the colors used in the temple architecture though, very vibrant!
we also visited a cow farm, with horses and goats.
night market we couldnt miss! smelly tofu, noodles, chicken cutlet, mango milk juice, yummy!
we had to take a 3 hours ride train to some other part of taiwan. so this boy sat in front of me, and i took the chance to make him a star. haha.
"wu jiao chuan pan" restaurant below which we dined in on our last day, in taipei. very unique restaurant designed with wooden ruins found in the sea and on the beaches. designed by a lady. amazing place to dine, and take photos.
and, who can miss xi men ding? ate the much raved about ah zhong mian xian! not too bad! :D did a bit of shopping before everyone got cranky and tired.
so it was hongkong after seven days in everypart of taiwan. didn't take much photos in hongkong because i was just busy walking around :D and finally my loots for the entire 10 days trip! i'm really glad happy with my purchases. i stocked up on so much cosmetic and masks. and clothes. i was quite disappointed with h&m range this season though! the entire getaway was great and i'm just glad to be back in singapore again. i missed everyone.
