Best of 2008:
- Officially graduated with a Diploma from NYP
- Dad bought me a macbook
- Shifted into the new home on 20 Feb, and had an awesome big bang housewarming on Labour Day
- Qualified and entered a local university
- Pulled through driving course and attained my license on my birthday (after 10 months of diligent classes!)
- Still walking with the Lord, and experiencing Him in rough times, still!
- Quality time with family + Jany + Valueshop Loveys + French goers whenever possible
- LOST WEIGHT FROM PARIS!
- Conquered Calculus with a whopping A!
Some highlights of 2008 worth remembering:
- Being blessed with a job at an australian investment bank for 3-4 months
- Got into a local university but broke down the entire first week of school every night ):
- Tried drama in church and kinda like it!
- Hongkong in June + my very own & first MiuMiu in black
- Caught a lot of movies this year - record breaking of all times, yet
- Moving on from NYP05 to NUSC1
- ups & downs that taught me more than i can imagine, showed me i'm stronger than i thought i was.
looking at the first page of my 2008 organizer, where i penned my new year resolution for '08, i'm quite proud of myself because i achieved most of them and have at least seen improvement in the other unmet ones. like dad always say; in whatever we aim for, the sky's the limit. don't think you're attained the "best" result because there is always something "better". best vs better. it makes sense for most things in life but that doesnt mean we dont count our blessings! =]]
so here goes, my resolutions for 2009:
- Grow in Fruits of the Spirit & walk with God - Discpline in QT daily, Word-centeredness, tithe regularly!
- Grow relationally with people from the university group
- More active in School activities
- Efforts to keep up with current affairs, read papers regularly & additional magazines - knowledge is power!
- SAVE SAVE SAVE + spend less impulsively!
- Better time management as i juggle between family, school, church & friends
- Healthy body, healthy mind!
i can't wait for countdown tonight with the family. it's been a while since we spent nye as a family cause' we're usually out with our own plans. Hope it'll mark a great start to a brand new year!
... to a awesome and better 2009! Happy New Year!
