Brands Hatch
Took the kids to Brands Hatch today for the FIA World Touring Car Championship Qualifying races.
After a very hectic morning, which involved Alfie not getting out of bed til 10.30 (i'd hoped to have been on our way by then), a run into town to get some money out the bank ( I lost my bank card last Saturday night) only to be told I had insufficient ID so was only able to draw out £50. So back home we went to borrow another £50 of my mum. Thank heavens for mums huh! Finally got on our way at about 12.30 ish. And hey get this.........I drove all the way to Brands Hatch on my own, without getting lost once.......and all the way back too! God, I was so chuffed with myself lol.
The day was totally amazing! The kids had a brilliant time, we watched several of the races which were totally exhilirating, we were right next to the track, and the roar of the cars as they drove past was deafening and U felt the ground vibrate............I really gotta go do it again, I loved it.
It was a very expensive day out, but worth every penny, the kids were all really behaved and we just all relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. They each got a souvenier to bring home with them, all in all a big success. Am so pleased the kids have had fun today. Hoping for a lay in tomorrow as they were all exhausted by the time we got home.
