Anyone ever take Oscillococcinum?

Did it work? What dosage did you take? I bought some since I can't take Tamiflu I figured it's worth a shot. I'm also taking a liquid prep of elderberry, echinacea & Vit C four times a day. DH keeps teasing me about taking sugar pills. Anyone have any experience w/ it?

I used Oscillococcinum last winter when we had a thousand & one flu bugs floating around our house, it didn't totally kill whatever I hat, but I don't think anything would have at that point. In general homeopathics aren't designed to be taken as a preventative measure, but if I remember right oscillocccinum should be taken as soon as you start feeling sick (I have more in my cupboard of if/when we need it this winter, figure it's worth a try again).

I DID find homeopathic single remedies to be effective for myself last winter, I figured out which remedy best matched the specific symptoms I had (it's not just a cough it's a dry cough or a wet cough or . . . ) and took it & it usually worked pretty quickly, and if the girls seemed to have the same thing I did, I would give them whatever I was taking, I find homepathics to be frustrating if it's just the girls that are sick because they're so specific and even at this age I can't pin the girls down do describe their symptoms closely enough to pinpoint the right remedy.

I also use the Herbs for Kids Elderberry syrup both as a preventative (if anyone in the house is sick, or if we've been around someone whose sick or whatever) and when they're actually sick, again hard to pinpoint exactly what works but I do think it boosts immune systems.
