I'm realizing that getting along with my friends isn't the challenge. We're friends because we're alike in many ways. Not necessarily in personalities or interests, but in values and ways of looking at life I guess. We have goals in our life. We all refuse to settle. Although guys can certainly be a distraction sometimes, they will NOT stand in our way of reaching our dreams. Friends come before guys. always. We are all perfectionists when it comes to school. Which we have to be I suppose, considering our goals for the future. It's funny how every good friend I can think of, even some I don't talk to very often fit all of this. Is it just that most people fit these things? It turns out that the answer is no. Getting along with my friends is not the challenge. The challenge is getting along with my sisters who are unlike me in so many ways and see things incredibly differently. Maybe I don't agree with what some of them do concerning school or guys, but they are still my family. I should still respect them and love them, despite differences. I usually can do this, but sometimes it becomes difficult. I guess that's the thing about family though. Their decisions can frustrate you to the point of wanting to scream at them sometimes. You want to scream at them because you care and you feel like they are making bad decisions. It is their life though, and their decisions to make. And at the end of the day, they are still your family and you have to let them lead their own life, wherever it may take them. You can't keep a loved one from falling. You can warn them, but you can't stop them from getting hurt. What would life be without the falls though? lol a nice Batman quote "Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up." I really like that quote actually. What a boring life we would have if nothing bad ever happened. How would we learn anything? Oh well I think I'm starting to ramble. Just writing down some thoughts while puppy sitting Cristina and Ashley's new puppy until Ashley gets off of work. Lol he definitely peed in my room. Good thing I love dogs. :)
