Well, Purple Ranger, I have to say I never thought about Green Acres in relation to my books but you have a point, with the eccentrics who spin around the main characters. The characters in my books are very like real people, they're just pushed a little. And it's harder to write the "straight men or women" roles like Lacey and Vic.

The key to the loons, I think, is the characters are always very serious, they think they are the only sane ones. It reminds me of comic actors, the ones who play the characters straight are the funniest. The ones who wink at the audience, so you will know that they really aren't the lunatic they portray, are awful. At any rate, I'm thrilled you enjoy the books! As for the library, you might recommend they order another copy. Some libraries don't buy paperbacks. God bless the ones that do.
