This has beent the longest weekend of my life. Band trips tend to do that to you.

Friday:
Wake up at freaking 3:30 to get to the school at 4:30, to get on the bus and drive to freaking Miami just as the sun is rising. Ethan asks me on the drive up: "Hey Liz, whatever happened to your bubble?" I can't honestly say. I have changed a little, haven't I? So we get there, check bags, get on the plane, and get to Washington around nineish? First we go to the WWII memorial, which wasn't all that impressive, but we got some nice pics. Then we went to the Korean, Vietnam, Lincolin, and other memorials which would have been really cool had our guide not been so dumb. (She got fired after the first day HA)So then we go to the Kennedy Center, then we're SUPPOSED to take a bus to the aquarium in Baltimore, but we just ended up taking a senic tour of Maryland and ended up where we started. Ate dinner at Pentagon Mall and met up with the later flights. Went to the hotel, checked in, almost got our faces eaten by dancers who wanted our room, unloaded the bags, went to bed.

Saturday (Parade Day):
So, we have a wake-up call at 5:30. Breakfast was the usual sucky brunch, and my face was its usual puffy self. Our guides including MARIA LUSIA (who is my hero?) seemed to think we needed to get to the parade extra early, so we're out of the hotel with all our junk by 7:30. Of course, at this time it is 35 degrees and drizzling. We take a few band pictures in front of the Capital Building and then march over to the queue. It starts to rain harder. We end up standing in the freezing rain for TWO HOURS JUST WAITING TO STEP OFF. I was literally going insane at this point ("MINA!!! MINA!!!!"). When we finally march onto Constitution Av. it of course begins to pour, with gale-force winds. I guess we did really well under the circumstances, but everyone was in such a bad mood after it was done. The buses drove our sodden selves back to the hotel, where we were given a whole THREE hours to get lunch and just hang out. Me, Ethan, Christine, and Sam got some cheap Chinese and chilled. Afterwards, we were once again forced outside to go to various museums, because it was what we had "paid" for. Even though we really did nothing that was on the itinerary. Air and Space Museum was cool I guess, but I was too freaking tired to take note of anything. Then we went to the back of the White House and saw a cool protester lady and a Sniper on top of the roof. Then we went to...GASP...ANOTHER MALL! I mean really, out of all the places in Washington, they send us to a place that we could have seen anywhere else in the entire country. By the end it was around 9, so we went back to the hotel and had a 10:30 curfew. It was pretty much the longest day of my life.

Sunday:
We were supposed to go to King's Dominion on Saturday but couldn't because of rain, so we went early on Sunday. And guess where King's Dominion is? Virginia. And guess who lives in Virginia? JAYSON!!!!!! WE SAW JAYSON AND HUNG OUT WITH HIM IN KINGS DOMINION! It was so cool....god I miss him! We only got onto two rides the entire time we were there, but the one I went on (The Volcano) was flippin shweet. Melanie and I were really depressed after we left because we thought that Jayson was following us out, but he wasn't, so we didn't get to say goodbye! I'M SO SORRY JAYSON WE LOVE YOU! So anyway we went back to get ready for the Cruise Dinner/Dance. I was in my hot swishy pant/shirt outfit, and straightened my hair. The boat was pretty similar to the Chicago cruise, except that we had to share our level with a bunch of elementary school kids? It was weird. The food wasn't so great, but the DJ was pretty good, except she kept interrupting things. Like always, I danced the entire time, but I wasn't alone most of it. *Giggle* So there was only one slow song the entire time, and my specialy guy and I danced to it...YEEE. At the very end, he kissed me...YEEEEEEEE! Needless to say, I was flipping out of my mind. After we docked, he asked to meet me in the lobby before curfew. So we both changed and I came down and we sat in front of the pub, just talking. I wasn't exactly the best company, as I was tired out of my mind, but I don't think either of us cared. We said goodnight in the stairwell, and I went to sleep thinking about just how coincidental and weird and amazing it was...

Monday:
Gar in the morning I was scared. Whatifs were everywhere...whatif I don't really like him? whatif he really has a girlfriend and is just messing with me? Pondering wasn't doing me any good. We first went to Arlington Cemetery, and saw the changing of the guard, which was really sad and amazing. The cemetery would have been bad otherwise if it weren't for him breaking off from his group to hold my hand the entire time. *Blush* We seperated and went to Washington Zoo, where I was kind of avoiding him cause I was getting scared of how fast he was moving. I felt bad later because I didn't see him until Tuesday, cause our bus/flight left four hours earlier than everyone else. We got to the airport, ate airline food, flew to Miami (I HATE MIAMI AIRPORT) and drove home. Everyone was almost delirious with exhaustion by this point. Got home at 9, promptly went to bed.

So Tuesday and Wednesday everyone is giving me grief because of my "hookup". Asking me if we're going out, what happened, making remarks...meh. I didn't even talk to him on Tuesday, and today we had maybe a five-minute conversation! I'm starting to think that we're unintentionally seperating ourselves, or maybe intentionally on his part. I'M SO CONFUSED. I was talking to Joe at the end of the day today, and it went like this:
Joe: So you were a little uncomfortable during lunch today...
Me: Yeah (been screamed at in band office). It's kind of weird, isn't it?
Joe: Not really, at least to me.
Me: Well, I had told you I liked him a long time ago, that makes sense...
Joe: Well I also knew both sides of the story...
Me: Yeah...I mean...WHAT? *proceeds to beat Joe*
Joe: You ask him about it!! *runs away*

WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN?!?!?
OH I'm so confused and tired and getting mixed messages, but I guess I'll end up like this:

I <3 J.P.
'Nuff said.
