Well well... This morning, I was reading the Sunday newspaper. Besides the talk about whether Cartez as President of Venezeula resembles the dictatorship of Stalin or not, I found an article that was quite interesting. i'm surprised the great wall of china isn't on your list.
my list:
- the great pyramids (of course)
- the great wall of china
- taj mahal
- stonehenge
- the acropolis
- the colosseum
- machu picchu

it's ridiculous (at least to me) that the statue of liberty is on the list.

dammit. now i wanna travel.

i'm really behind the news, and i hate being so behind. but 7 new wonders of the world? why 7? cant it be 1? or 27? whats 7 got to do with anything?

and isnt there a difference between natural world wonders and the wonders of the world? like niagara falls, i thought was one of the natural world wonders, no?

hm. i really dont know.

Lizzie made a good point... SO I decided to google online. Here's what I found.

Seven Wonders of the World refers generally to any number of lists which list popular sites for tourism. The oldest and most famous is the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, largely a tourist guide for travelers of the ancient world who wanted to see the most famous and well known sight-seeing destinations.
