(no subject)
Long, long, long day. I worked from 7:30-3:45, then 4:00-5:45, and am still awake, at almost 1am. Should have slept hours ago. Bad, bad habits!
I'm loving my position at the aviary. I shadowed the aviculture people today. I broke up dead fish, fed pelicans, got to go into the bird enclosures and other great stuff. Unfortunately our Little Black Bustard died today. RIP, little guy.
Tomorrow I work with kids for the first time. I'll be leading 30 minute scavenger hunts through the aviary, for 6th grade kids. Here's hoping it goes well!
Also, I'm still on my no shampoo routine. Last week, toward the end of my first bottle, I got that nice slippery feeling I was supposed to. That went away with my next bottle mixes. I'm afraid I may have mixed them differently than last time, though still to the specifications I thought I'd used. I added a little more water to each, and will try again in a few days. My hair is a little too oily on top and a little too dry on the ends for my comfort, so we'll see how it goes over the next week. Not sure how many days it is, but at least I don't smell or FEEL like I haven't bathed. Amazing.
