OK, so I'm writing about my breakfast at dinner, but it the time in the day I have to update this. :)
A friend from Seattle Rep, who knows a TON of the same folk I do in Chicago via The Goodman Theatre and Kennedy King College cooked for me this morning.
I am almost never cooked for so it's a BIG TIME way into my heart. :)
And oh did he cook.
We had coffee, fried green tomatoes, cinnamon raisin french toast (and the batter had bourbon in it. Mmmm... Did I say he and I also have whiskey/scotch/bourbon likes in common?) And a fritatta with cheese, onions, tomatoes and peppers. The tomatoes were from his garden too.
While he cooked we chatted, I looked through photo albums of his life and listened to some great R&B and french music.
And all I had to bring was my home made honey butter. :) I brought some lemon ginger cookies too. The last time we went out he mentioned he had a taste for lemon/ginger...
Maybe I should make lemon/ginger pancakes the next time we do breakfast...
How many of you knew that I had a "love to cook breakfast" side to me?
And this as I find out I may need to loose 20 lbs for a role by January. Eek! Anyone have any fat burning suggestions other than portion control, eat small things every 3 hours to keep metabolism up and exercise?
