Brilliant.

And I'd only seen one episode of Firefly, actually on the Sci-Fi channel before heading out to the movie.

I'll say no more to give nothing away.

Rehearsing and publicizing workshops that will hopefully finance my travel east this winter and temping. :)

But I'm sure some time can be found somewhere. ;-)

hmmm, perfect optimism combined with perfect pessimism...how zen your TV consumption is!

by the way, i don't think you know me. i'm a good friend of Meg Raphoon, from undergraduate college. i was poking around on her friends list and discovered you. i'm also involved with theatre and the arts, so i added you to my friends list. i hope you don't mind.

Not at all. When you first commented I was like, "who's this?" Saw we had Meg in common and thought, cool, another Hartwick person. ANd who knows, we may have met the one time I visited her in undergrad. :)

I do try and keep balance in my life. ;-)

More than likely.

Damn it is a small world.

Were you the one I was traipsing around with getting Meg soup with because it was a rather chilly day for faire? That might have been Ang...

i might have been there too. i tended to get quiet around pretty faire-wenches back then. but i do remember meeting you and...i think his name was Trey? if it wasn't the day you're thinking of, it was definatly some time that summer.

well...i thought your icon looked familliar.

Nope that's definately me. Trey and I were together for 3.5 years and you met us at our heyday.

No fair not having an icon w/ your face so I can try and place you too.

Although I have a vague memory of a woman in blue...?

nyet and nein. my name's dave, and you're probably thinking of either aly or my girlfriend at the time. if you did see me, i had long brown hair, and possibly a beard...maybe not, and was probably either dressed mainly in green and brown garb or not in garb at all.

i've got pictures of myself i could post, but none of them look even remotely like i did back then.

i'll see if i can scan the ones from when i visited the faire.

DAVE! Of course I remember you!!! Meg's "little brother" if I remember correctly. I feel like we all hung out again after that faire excursion, but my memory is foggy.

And all this time I've been thinking Mirth was a woman. How wrong I was. heheh...

:-) it's nice to be remembered. yup, i'm the "little brother," and i don't think we hung out as much as i would have liked to. i've always been fascinated by stories meg's told me about you. you seem like a truly once-in-a-lifetime person, and i'm sorry we didn't get more of a chance to hang out face to face, but it's nice having the opportunity to get to know you a little better in this format.

are you ever planning on coming back our way? i realize "our way" now encompasses Chicago to PA, but hey...it's only distance, right?

:-)

heheh... we'll I must say I don't think of myself as a once-in-a-lifetime person, but it's nice to hear. :)

Actually I'll be in Chicago Dec. 5-20th then I'm in Philly for a day or 2 and should be at my folks place in NJ around Dec. 22 or 23rd. It depends on my friend's work schedule. She's picking me up in Philly.

Will you be near any of those places at those times?
