"Um.... Hak-, yeah, i have to go. knowing my mom, she'll go look in on me in my room one last time for the day before she goes to sleep. i dont know why, but i think she may be mentally saying 'goodnight' but she's always did this so its easy to predict. sorry i have to leave so suddenly but it's...." I glance down at my wrist, to suddenly realize i wasn't wearing a watch. That's odd, because i usually throw it on through habit, and i don't have my cell phone either. That's more understandable because i usually forget to charge it anyways.
I glance back, "Ha, oh, do you happen to know the time?"
"11:38"
"I knew it. It's really late, I'm heading back now," I get up and glance down at him. It's obvious he's thinking about something, his dark eyebrows set and his gaze unfocused as he stares at the distant trees. "So, see you?" I chocked up that last bit. Not wanting to seem too eager, the question was slightly mumbled. This is what usually makes me seem unfriendly, that unsureness that haunts my every move.
"of course," he replies, "we have class together, no? Plus we share a common spot now. I'm leaving in a few seconds too." he says this last part like an afterthought, but i didn't want to attempt to figure out his tone. I turn around and briskly walk away; wanting to get back to my house as soon as possible, but also to break away from his magnetic pull.
