California!
It’s official, we’re moving to California!!! Time to really start planning. The military will help with some expenses, but this is the biggest move I’ve ever made. We’re going to let the military pack us up and ship our stuff, but then we’ll drive our 2 cars cross country. I’ve turned in my resignation here (4 week notice), and I’ll have to find a job as soon as we get out there. We really can’t handle me being out of work for more than a month, and it’s going to take 5 days just to drive (8 hour days, we’re trying to guestimate low incase we run into problems).
But, I’m excited. I’ve only visited the west coast twice, both times were for less than a week and because of competitions. Now, I’ll get a chance to live there for 8 months, and I think we’ll both have a blast. Mark will be going to A-school, so he thinks he’ll have an easier work schedule and will have more nights at home, which is great for me!
