Day 02 - Your least favorite song
Those of you that know me IRL know that I have very strong opinions about bad music. Not amateur music, but professional songs that do well despite the fact that they are horrible.
Also, you know that I hate hate hate one song:
In the Year 2525
The music and singing are grating to my ears. The lyrics are inane. And for some reason that chorus about "man is still alive/ if woman can survive" makes me gag. It just sounds stupid.
Futurama did do a good mocking of this in a recent ep though.
This doesn't mean I don't hate other songs. I hate a *lot* of other songs.
Last Resort- Papa Roach (I set speed records changing the radio station when this comes on)
The Reason- Hoobastank
Anything by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap
Anything by Nickelback
Anything by Five for Fighting
Lips of an Angel- Hinder
Last Kiss, both the original and the Pearl Jam cover
My friend Tim sometimes runs a bracket game called Jutebox from Hell, were people vote down to the worst popular song. He needs to do that again. I have ideas.
