TWO WEEKS!!!
This hiatus was almost as long as the summer ones and I though THEY were never ending. This is really ridiculous scheduling and IMO it is not good for a show to do that. I think a month is the max on that.
Exactly one year ago today I took a paid account. I joined the year before to comment but after the Reheading I wanted to stay on LJ longer. I had to decide this week if I wanted to pay for another year and I decided to do so because I don't want to loose my icons and I think we can still be talking about this for a couple of months so I guess you are stuck with me a little longer. They gave me 5 extra icons so YAH!!!!!!




wrldpossibility is trying to arrange a schedule so we can all rewatch the new episodes together. Good luck Amy and I hope it works out that we all can join in somehow.



By the time PB was on the last stretch of S2 it went a bit quiet press-wise and IMO it was because there were new shows in town like Heroes *big no no for me* and I have the feeling that the actors were all a bit exhausted and maybe felt a bit overexposed. The decline in fandom also really begun on TWoP and it was very visible because there was an invasion from the we-love-Linc-and-hate-Michael trolls.
SWC and Went did two more television interviews together at the beginning of 2007 and I didn't like the vibe and the strange thing is that more people picked that up. Something was off as far as I was concerned. In the first one they both seemed tense and it was like there was something wrong and I remember feeling very uncomfortable watching that. Looking back, those interviews, were rather anticlimactic after the flirty one and IMO it was because they were very self-conscious about the reactions in the fandom about the two of them.
Later we heard that SWC was pregnant and I have to say that SWC pregnancy for me ruined a lot of pleasure temporarily because very selfishly, I was scared for what was going to happen with Sara (and it did go wrong). Also I didn't enjoy all the focus on her private life because that took me out of the Sara character and it still does when they address her private life. It is different with Went because he is such an enigma.




I also was scared that SWC being pregnant would interfere with some of their scenes but as soon as I saw them together again on the show, both Went and Sarah played their characters perfectly and I never had the feeling that he or she was holding back for privacy reasons. I have to say that in all her interviews SWC is always reluctant to talk about her RL and I am happy about that.
In the spring of 2007 Went, very uncharacteristically for him, was in the gossip press a lot due to the fact that he was seen with two girls whom he was supposedly dating and soon after that (according to a 'very reliable source' *snorts*) he was gay. I don't want to go into that stuff because there has been so much said about that but for me that was the beginning of the end and it was the decline of the happy fandom as far as I was concerned. When the pictures came up with the evidence that Went was clearly gay, because he wore matching flip flops with his friend and we all know that is a gay thing *facepalms*, there was so much hysteria, hate and intolerance and that shocked me to be honest and I was so frustrated that I was talking swearing and shaking my fist to my computer a lot at that time. There was blatant homophobia that was appaling and also a very condescending attitude towards people who wanted to keep an open mind and decide to wait until Wentworth wanted to address 'the issue' or not.
For the record. I don't believe he is, and there are many reasons why I don't but the main one is that I would find the lying very out of character with everything we DO know about him but if he is, that is his fucking biz. It still makes me angry. *grrr*
This was a very nasty time and I am very impressed that he never ever said anything about it and kept his dignity.






I remember someone once said that Michael is cross-eyed and Linc looks constipated. LOL

I realised watching last summer that rewatching would have been very difficult if SWC would not have been back.

What can I say about the embrace: totally unexpected and so incredibly sweet.
The way she just walks into his arms, both close their eyes, him breathing her in and of course him noticing her hair and she smiles and being self conscious about it. I love how the space under his eyes pops up when he is closing his eyes. *iz weird*
Mike vs Kman was hawt. The strangulation, throwing the jacket back at him, the you'll do what? and the Blue steel. YUM!!!
The Sara/Linc scene was sweet and very well acted and the reference to the comforting arm touching in S1 is just one of those PB gems again.

Sara's strangulation attempt is so amazing and the way she can't calm down and even Michael cannot calm her down.

I can not tell you how much I adore the fact that Michael gives her space first, after she nearly strangled Kman.




The best kiss ever!!!!
There are several versions of that kiss so that means some retakes. *loves*
He goes in and waits and just stands there and that in itself is so hawt and I cannot explain why.

When she tells him that she loves him in her awesome Sara way he sits next to her and just looks at her and again is is hawt.
He is just hawt, no matter what he does!!!!!!!! LOL
I loved the train kiss and found it very erotic with the lip nibbling, her putting her arms around him, the foreheads touching and the starring into each others eyes.
Him pulling back and looking at her and of course the thumb stroking *IZ DED* and staring at each other and then she initiates the second time with that little smile, which is the one of the hottest things I've seen on TV, ever.

Everything between them is always so understated and clear at the same time.

Fangirl overload on TWoP and even Sobell the mod is in on it but surprise surprise there is moaning again that Sara doesn't touch him and the kiss wasn't passionate enough (UH???) and they blame SWC that she plays Sara too cold. I have the feeling some fans turned on M/S and especially on SWC because they though that SWC wanted to hold back and didn't feel comfortable kissing Went and therefore they hated her, the ungrateful bitch. LOL
There was a division and either people thought it was too cold, no chemistry any more and others, like me, thought it was hawt, in character and magical and I didn't see any holding back from SWC.

This is my favourite scene from S2. This is Michael to me and why I like him so much; awkward but sweet, and being almost like a shy little boy, telling Sara that he loves her as well.




Her reaction again had a lot of criticism on TWoP but I love it that she is upfront but still very careful and has a shy little smile as well. IMO she is more confrontational and more open than Michael but she is basically the same and I love her awkwardness and like Michael she is very clumsy and IMO kind of surprised about the whole thing and she doesn't know how to handle the situation.

Bellick practicing I am with the FBI in the car and the T Bag hand signal were both hysterical.




Kman thinking he could join in on the MiSa fun. As if. HA!!!!

Sara going into the cigar club and her and Michael working together is great and we saw a lot of that this season.




It was so brave and bold to go to Pope and so good to see him again and so sad to see the three of them together because there is a lot of respect and affection there but no trust anymore because of the betrayal and Michael feels very guilty.
Michael/Went and Pope/Stacy have great chemistry and did some great acting together and I hope he will come back once more.
T Bag's story in his hometown was great but after that they should have stopped. It is great to see him as the antagonist again but no more sub-plot please.
It is great to see Sucre with MCruz again (according to the DVD comments they waited for the actress to be available)
ZZZnote, I just don't care any more.
The Kman and Linc scene was also good acting. I notice that whenever Linc is with great actores he is always better.




The Fillet Mignon/ Burrito scene

The reminder of the date, his smile and her joking about having class, so he better take her to something posh. I always thought that she brought up the date so she could promise him that she would wait for him because IMO she knew about the deal with Pope.
Henry vs Kim, Michael driving into Kim and Linc beating him. Kimmy did not have a good day.
Sara locking Kman out was ace.
The scene in front of Pope's house was amazing and Linc was great again.
There was an interesting theory by guinevere79 on TWoP that Sara didn't want to feel so attached to Michael because he made the deal with the pope (so she kind of kept her distance because she could lose him again) and that changed once Sara thought they would be safe, hence her happiness when she drove to the ship to meet Michael. This makes sense to me.
SWC was good in the scene when they were preparing to listen to what was on the tape. Her anxious twitching was so real.
Linc exploding after hearing the tape was bad acting again. *cringed*
I loved that we didn't know what was on the tape not even through spoilers.
Kman and his sister awwww, it was so hard to hate him.
Zzzznote referring to Michael as white boy (like snowflake in S1) I always find weird and uncomfortable because of Went's racial background.
The brothers know each other so well because M asks L what is wrong right after the call?
The M/S arm touching small but great gesture but mostly off camera AGAIN!!!!!!.
I also loved the hand toughing and her not watching but again too cold according to a lot of TWoPers.
M/L working together on the fake Cooper Green and Michael is going smash and Linc is too late is kind of funny.
Sara calling Linc when she knows Michael is in danger and fixing it is great teamwork and we saw more of that in S4.
I never liked Zzznote but seeing him trying to hang himself was very disturbing so I was glad that he survived.
Before Michael says I love you both there is a look from Sara like she doesn't know what to do and then he says it and she is in shock. Went did great but IMO the writing was bad (strange timing of that line) and it is the ONLY time I didn't feel the MiSa.
When Mahone was looking for her, Sara came from under the bed and.................. BOOBS and according to Karyn Usher, they asked her permission to leave it in. LOL
Sara and Mahone playing each other was magnificent.
When Sara grabs the gun she doesn't know what to do and that is so well acted. She is so good at these little subtle things.

Another great line from Sara to Mahone:
You don't know the first thing about what I want.

The Derek/Linc friendship is great and the writers wanted him back in S3. Another missed opportunity IMO so maybe he is back for S4




Patricia Wettig is an amazing actress with her great voice and IMO it is a shame we didn't see more of her (according to an interview she was very impressed by Went's beauty and craft) and she had great chemistry with him as well. She reminded me of Hillary Clinton and I loved that they made her a bit likeable and that even Michael felt a bit sorry for her.

Wounded-but-still-mentally-strong Michael is all kind of hawt and writer and fangirl Karyn Usher thought so as well. LOL
I thought he was outstanding again this episode and puled of some great acting.
Kim was a creep but a great creep and Michael spitting out blood, being demanding, shouting, smirking and smiling did funny stuff with my tummy.
I loved the look of the kitchen scene due to light and great editing.
I loved the walking away backwards and the fact that we see how hurt he really is when he walking the street looking for a phone.
The call between him and Sara was so sweet as she smiles for the first time and is relieved!!!!
The Lincoln reunion is cold again and I blame Dom.
Paul Adelstein. is so very funny, kind and a good commenter on the DVD's. He has great insight in the story and gets 'Michael' and is not as self observed as William F. or Dom. I can see why he and SWC are Went's favourite people from PB.
One of the writers said Went ad-libs a lot and some of the great lines come from him, like when Linc said he would like to have seen Caroline's face, he says. No you don't.

When they are ready to leave for Panama Michael is so pessimistic and Linc so happy.
The call is sweet again and Sara smiles and of course I love his shyness and awkwardness and her being all flirty.




It is heartbreaking to see that she saves him again and some great SWC acting and Mahone losing it.
Michael is grieving and Linc is a good bro for a change by touching his shoulder.
Zzznote has his happy ending but please don't ever come back. Rockmond is a great actor but the character is annoying and IMO that was not supposed be like that.
Sullens is great with an intriguing face and the actor is a RL friend of William F.




The buzz cut is back and as much as I liked Michael's longer hair I loved it again. (these ramblings are always about hair. LOL)
Michael is so sad now that all hope is gone and the cost was too high. He so deserves to be happy, that boy.
The fight between the brothers was a long time coming but the Sara/ Vee comparison was off IMO. Vee also had a choice and she was kind of connected to Linc as Sara was sort of forced into this all.
The boat and the location are amazing an the piss without a plan sums up Michael and lol @ Linc for being the voice of reason for a change.
Listening to al his DVD commentaries I think Kevin Hooks the director has a really sexy nasal voice. LOL




I loved Michael in a hoody and Michael with kids is always good.

Sucre, Bellick, and Scofield is a great trio (and it is funny that Michael is in charge) and Michael being the voice of reason about Mcruz,
Sara at her trial breaks my heart l'll be out before I am forty but Kman saves the day.

Michael's and T Bag's bring it bitch confrontation was amazing and I was cheering when he stabbed him in the other hand.

Sucre being hurt was no good.




Michael's it is no good without you call is another one of his awkward-no-nonsense-tell-it-like-it-is but sweet statements. Heartbreaking stuff
Sara is just free and directly goes into save-Michael-mode again.
Michael's my mother would not approve of you is so funny.




I loved the boat hug so much because I loooved HIS FACE when he saw HER. He is such a great face actor.







The zipper touching, shoulder touching and Michael's sad face when he heard Linc was free was so awesome.
I know a lot of people were disappointed because there was no kissing but IMO it was in character because they are both so shy and aloof and Linc was there as well. For me Michael's face was so moving and the way he drops the bag and looks at her as if he can't believe she is really there..........here I go again.

The love shack




I loved him trying to calm her, her desperation, his sad determination (that look nearly killed me), his brave smile after the kiss, him giving up and her shouting at the top of her lungs that he didn't do anything. Just WOW!!!!




On the DVD commentaries the director said that the scene showed the deep bond between them and SWC suggested that Michael should do that with the gun because Sara would never let Michael take the rap for her. Smart one, that SWC.

I was on a high for weeks from the hug and the kiss and in shock because we didn't know that there would be anything. On TwoP some poster claimed for weeks that she heard from an insider that there would be no kiss or hug and then we got it 3 times. Good times!!

When I watched it now I felt sad because that could have been the last time we ever saw her.
BUT SHE IS BACK!!!!!!!!

My conclusion on M/S in S2: Not enough M/S on screen and IMO a lost opportunity but when it comes to those two it is always quality over quantity. At the end of S2 I was full of hope but it proved to be a very loong and difficult summer hiatus and trolls, gossip, hate and a nasty rumor about SWC not coming back.

SWC in TV guide March 19, 2007 about M/S for S3 and we all know what happened but I think it applies to S4 now.
They're doing the best they can under the circumstances. And they're both broken people. [In Season 3] I think they'll have an opportunity to try and take care of one another

The ship a.k.a the MiSa

I think their relationship took a giant leap forward from Chicago on. Sara decided to put her cards on the table because she knew that both their lives were in danger and like SWC said that when Sara was stripped of everything she KNEW, she kind of gave Michael permission to admit the same IMO.




I think like we saw in S4 even more, she gets really frustrated with Michael's self-sacrificing tendencies but she does the same for him in the end and he does it again for her.
They are both nuts. LOL
Like I said before I love their little subtle love dance and though at this point they both know where they stand it is all still very slow and understated as it still is today. I think that, despite of the fact that they are sure about each other, they don't know each other and under normal circumstances they would be going out on dates to explore each other quite carefully. It however is all in contrast with these grand gestures of love they make, like Sara giving herself up and Michael doing the same thing later. It seems that they can open up in times of great stress and danger like in the shack or like in S4 when Michael gets his surgery but other than that they are still kind of shy around each other. That IMO makes the relationship so compelling.

This is one of the last interviews Went did during S2 and it is good and I always love seeing him on set and how relaxed he is.
