I had a SERIOUSLY weird nightmare last night.
by seriously weird, i mean that it was ridiculously detailed.
i dreamed that my family moved into a flat that was haunted. stuff happened like doors refusing to close/open, or doing so of their own accord, stuff moving, and then i was writing some law notes and left the room, and when i came back they'd rearranged themselves into a threatening message.
anyway, i started having flashbacks of a woman and her husband who used to live there, but after a fight he threw her down the stairs and killed her, and the woman's spirit was trapped in the building. Naturally, i told my parents, they freaked, and got a medium-type person in to deal with it. She told us the best thing to do would be to leave around photographs of the woman's husband, because it'd make her so unhappy that she'd leave the flat and leave us alone.
So we did that (don't ask how we got photos of him, we just did somehow) but the hauntings got worse, and the photos were creepy because they kept moving and the husband's facial expression kept changing.
And then we found out (again, dunno how) that the medium chick was the great-etc granddaughter of the dead woman and the REAL reason for the photographs was to make her so angry that she would keep destroying things until eventually she destroyed the flat, because the medium woman wanted revenge, and to release the dead woman's spirit, and thought that if the flat was destroyed, then she'd be able to leave.
But in the end, the angry spirit posessed the medium, because as it turned out, the only way for the spirit to leave was to posess someone of close kin, and the only reason she'd been haunting us so violently was so that we'd call the medium back to the flat. SO, she just took over her body, and then she got up, apologised to us for all the fuss, wrote out a cheque for the damage and left.
