“I’m already looking forward to my White Day gift. If you’re having trouble thinking of what to get, I have a helpful list of suggestions prepared for your convenience. Understand?” Beryl tilted her head.
“Yes, ma’am.” The four Shitennou bowed low over the boxes they held crossed across their chests.
“Think Chanel,” she told them as she breezed out.
They straightened in their queen’s absence, and Zoisite muttered angrily, “Cheapest obligation-chocolate on the market.”
“At least your heart-shaped if half-burnt chocolates for Kunzite-sama~ won’t be shown up,” said Jadeite.
“Shut up! I--”
“Oh come on,” Nephrite cut in. “It’s not like it matters anyway.”
“You’re probably just saying that because you’re expecting better,” said Kunzite, brandishing his box to indicate that he meant better than Beryl’s, not better than Zoisite’s.
Nephrite looks defensive for a second before throwing on the expression of a sleazy playboy. “Yeah, I’m expecting a whole candy store. I’ll bring you some charity chocolate back if I can’t eat it all.”
“Get stuffed,” Jadeite told him.

Naru tapped her foot and sipped absently at her melting milkshake, clutching occasionally at the box in her lap. She stopped herself. It made her look like someone who was waiting for someone who was late or who was not going to show up.
“Naru-chan! I hope I didn’t make you wait long.”
“No, not long at all, Sanjouin-kun. I’m glad you could get away to see me today.”
“It’s no problem, though I can’t stay too long.”
“I’m sure you have lots of women to get chocolates from.”
Damn it. She’d been trying to not be shy about her reasons for inviting him to meet and she ended up sounding bitchy and jealous.
A dark expression flitted across his face, but it quickly disappeared into one of his faker pleasant expressions. “So far I’ve only received a gift of extreme obligation from my boss and from the OLs at my company. I’m only getting real chocolate from one person.”
“I bet you say that to all the girls,” she said lightly.
“Think better of me, please.”
“I wanted to give you this.” She offered him the box of her homemade chocolates.
He accepted it with his usual suave grace, but she thought she could see a flash of fear from behind the mask of his features. “Thank you, Naru. May I?”
“Of course.”
He tried a bite. “It’s the best. I love it.”
