For all that they were a peaceful and free society, Crystal Tokyo treated a few of its rules very seriously. Say what you will about freedom of speech or the press, and they had those, but speaking about some topics was treason.
No one but the tabloids cared that much about the ban on mentioning the civilian identity of a Sailor Senshi. Historians everywhere, though, were incensed and confused about their inability to publish details of the Black Moon War.
A textbook would say: They attacked. We won by the power of the Neo-Queen and Silver Crystal.
No mention of time travel. No mention of attacks in three different time periods and the order events happened for which people.
No mention of the evacuations beginning before the attacks in Crystal Tokyo. No mention of the soldiers under Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune and those on loan from the Dark Kingdom who fought the Black Moon shock troops and droids while the palace slept in stasis.
No talking about the fates of those who should have been famous names. Prince Diamond’s delegation before the war might be spoken of, but not his death. Not the defection of the Ayakashi sisters or the resurrection of Sapphire, nor how they spent the second time through hidden in the Dark Kingdom to not be seen or interfere.
Nor do sociologists note that Neo-Queen Serenity kept the promise she once made to the dying Diamond. She did bring what remained of his clan back to Crystal Tokyo, where their ancestors had been exiled from fifty generations before in the oddly tangled timelines. No statue was erected for Orange Topaz, who saved her people when Nemesis broke up into an asteroid field of rock and dead crystal. Serenity came for them then and brought them to Earth. They might have had more in common culturally with the Dark Kingdom than Crystal Tokyo, but few immigrated to the former. Desperate to throw off their past, never did a people assimilate faster.
The Black Moon Clan makes the same mistakes time and time again, always thinking their clever plan is new. The timeline is preserved.
