“Those were wilder times, of heroes and glittering princesses.” Dead-eyed soldiers who fought more days than not for their lives, fire, and gold. “They were vibrant inventors and creators,” because they lived in shacks and goat tents.
“Had only we lived in those better times not so overrun by corruption and politicking.”

“But they gave us the lasting glory of the Moon Kingdom we now enjoy.”
The Moon? They were Earthans who would hardly have cared about the colonies. “And the peace” stagnation “of these times, under your reign.”
Queen Pax primped under what she saw as praise for the opulence of her court. She was as pale a reflection as the Moon, colorless, fireless, soulless.
Her small daughter Serenity peered around her mother’s throne at the dark shadow in the midst of the halls of white. A light sparkled in her eyes and Sailor Pluto feared her even more.
