my sister hates america and everything about it
when she is home its like she cant cope without smoking pot
which just so shes knows... is just like any other deadbeat american.
but thats besides the point.
im just trying to make it clear she can't stand it here.
shes not like anyone else in my family
its hard to say because we are family
but somehow she just didnt fit in
or we didnt make her feel like she did fit in
she has alot of insecurities.
moving on.
she just recently graduated college
in a "relationship" with a guy who is "really great, i swear"
no one in our family approved of him
which made her feel the need to prove us wrong by the things she said
which made no difference!
anyway. her plans for the summer were to go to ireland.
she wanted to live and work on a farm to earn her stay in the country
she got her visa and passport and up and left
she went alone. she wanted to have a life changing experience.
from the emails she sent us it seemed like life was sweet
and we were all excited for her and liked hearing about the differences there
so it seemed like a positive thing.
she was scheduled to be there for four weeks.
on the night before the morning we were to drive to the city to pick her up
she so sweetly decided to let us in on her secret plans of not coming home
it sucked. the house was like someone just died.
she gave us no previous notice of this and it just wasn't right.
how do you leave your family??
and her reason?
she met a guy.
a wonder older man.
and what about her old PERFECT boyfriend?
she was supposed to be at his house when she came back from ireland.
but she didnt even call him !
she sent him an email
and theyve been together for a few years now.
so we have all this great new news.
everyone in our family is in mourning
and elena is surprised.
anyway. we didnt hear from her much after that
we tried to get an idea of when she would come back.
she said her passport runs out in a year.
a few weeks went by and its still weird at home.
then tonight i come home.
my dad is out in the garage
for some reason i get the feeling i should go talk to him
he tells me my sister has come back suddenly
but shes wont come home
and she has to go to the hospital
her new soul mate beat her up pretty bad
we dont know what the fight was over
or where he is now or anything.
she wont give us any more information besides that
she has a broken nose and needs dental work
and other "various" testing done
and that she is now back with her other mr. right in philidelphia
why cant she just come home?
why does her life revolve around men?
men that treat her like shit?
why does she have to surround herself with drama?
i wish she could be more independent
this would be a good time in her life to start over
not go back to the same old routine of bullshitting around.
