Ah yes, I was supposed to be writing in this thing, wasn't I?

When last we left pjt, she was boring the bejeezus out of people. Sadly, this won't change anytime soon.

In other news, I bought another coffee maker. Because (counts on fingers) five just aren't enough. Oh, I tell a lie. Six. I got two small Vietnamese coffee makers for Solstice. It's an Aeropress, and if I were feeling more ambitious, you'd get a link. As it is, you'll just have to google it. It was a toss-up, though. I almost got a Bodum electric vacuum pot instead. Maybe next week. And that ceramic drip filter was pretty sexy, too.

The problem is, you see, that there's a new coffee roaster/cafe quite near my house. They're my kind of people, with that fine gleam of fanaticism in their eyes. I was the only one in the cafe this evening around supper time, and they were spending their time practicing making shots for a competition ("You're not even allowed to warm the cups?!" one of them said worriedly) and working on a signature drink. Which I was lucky enough to get a taste of, as they had to draw four shots. It was indeed lovely, but I'm slightly buzzed just now, as I'd already had a coffee by that point.

It was a Cafe Saigon, made with sweetened condensed milk and lemon balm to give it a hint of citrus. Mmmm. Not something I would have chosen normally, but they have a daily "Barista's Choice", which they assure you you're free to fling at the back wall if you're dissatisfied. Their back wall is pristine.

And now, I now return you to your regular programming.
