oh my god, dude... the new harry potter... holy crap!
i got it friday night (after running into lovely levys at the bookstore. nice suprise...) and i read until about 4 am, then i read all day saturday, then i got up super early on sunday to finish it off. all 652 pages..... of children's literature, so it's not that incredible of a feat, but still. it was just so damn good. i waited for carmen to finish on sunday so we could go to starbucks, geek out and "discuss." we brought our books and everything. we are lame. we knew if was time to take a break when we not only compared harry potter to lord of the rings, but also the bible.... yes, we are awesome.
but seriously, it was great, so dark and violent though. and those little kids are turning into sluts. and i was upset about some things, but totally happy with others, so yay j.k. rowling. that woman made like 34 million dollars on saturday. that's just insane.
so my weekend was pretty uneventful. however, i went to the upper deck last night to get a few drinks before the hot hot heat show. little did i know, that apparently on sunday nights, the music farm decides to rock out early. i got there at like 11 and they had already been on stage for like 40 mins. what?!? *two* openers? and it started that early? we were done with the rock by 12. what the hell? was the hot hot heat bus gonna turn into a damn pumpkin if they didn't get their skinny indie rock asses back on it on time? i don't get it. i'm sorry, lovely ladies for offering my free ticket, but then making you miss most of the show. my bad.... it was however, the greatest 40 minutes of rock i'd seen in a while.
so i'm supposed to hear if i got the favorite of jobs i've been interviewing for today. it's already past two. i guess bitch is gonna make me wait all day. i feel like this means i didn't get it, and she putting off telling me until the end of the day so i don't have a terrible day at work, just a bad afternoon, outside of work. bah, i dunno.... i need a new career. any suggestions?....
okay, back to waiting for my phone call. gah.....
