I still can't figure out what to spend $30 free dollars on. I got this American credit card from Expedia when I booked a hotel with them and I want to buy something online, but I can't figure out what. The easiest thing would be a DVD or book from Amazon because the shipping is pretty cheap, but I hate owning shitty books and I can always get preowned DVDs. I was going to spend it on Malin+Goetz products because they had it at the Ace Hotel and it was so great smelling, but the shipping is cray cray. This is such a first world problem. I will probably figure out what I want after I've already used it on something useless.
I've had a really good time walking around my neighborhood the past few days, especially with the weather being so awesome. It's nothing spectacular but there are some parks in any direction, and conveniently, a Chapters that is still open at 11pm.
On Saturday I had a great time going to a burger place in Leslieville, then walking around the beaches area and seeing awesome houses along the way. Then my friends' condo on the Lakeshore, that looks like any other Minto/Concord trendy buildings that I'm envious about but are probably filled with Woodbridge ex-pats who are loud on weekends. Plus I'd need a lot of friends to come over if I ever wanted to make us of the amenities like the pool, hot tub, "video games room", rock climbing wall, and billiards table.
I don't know if you guys have seen this, but I got the link off Michelle's friend Rosalyn:
http://onlyinparkdale.blogspot.com/I haven't spent THAT much time in Parkdale but I assume this is 100% accurate.
Recently while working in Liberty Village, I have discovered that King and Dufferin is shady at all hours of the day.
Also, High Expectations Asian Father is absolutely 100% accurate:
