She had her operation yesterday and all went well, but when they were preparing her for the op they discovered she had a mild lung infection, it should be easy to sort with a course of antibiotics
The vets called first thing this morning and I can pick her up at dinnertime, she still hasnt eaten at the vets, but thats not surprising with it being a totally alien enviroment for her, at least here she can hear and see the countryside, but the vets is in a town so not her cup of tea at all
I'm calling the Buzzard a "she" now as the vet is pretty sure its a girl and quite young too, most likely one of last years youngsters
I'm glad I found a good vet to help her, I've discovered he is currently President of the British Veterinary Zoological Society, he specialises in Birds of Prey, Parrots and Reptiles, so I was quite lucky to be refered by my own vets to him
Fingers crossed she will continue to recover and gain her strengh now she is past the operation
rescue,
buzzard
