“Su, will you marry me?” Junsu shifted his look from the beautiful night view of Seoul towards Yoochun’s velvet voice, only to find the other kneeling on one knee, eyes sparkling with love and lips forming a smile, such charming smile that made Junsu fall in love with him from the very first time they met. In Yoochun’s hands laid an already-opened velvet box with a pair of silver bands neatly tucked in together between the maroon-colored cushion.
At loss of words, Junsu’s gaze traveled from the shining rings to Yoochun’s face. How he loved Yoochun so much and deep down, Junsu knew he wanted to be with this man forever, how long forever might be for them. His eyes started to sting, crystal clear tears already pooling and threatening to trail down his soft cheeks any second. Yoochun tilted his head a little, his warm brown eyes meeting Junsu’s glassy ones.

“Will you?” he repeated, slightly anxious at Junsu’s silence.

“I will, Yoochun.” Came the awaited reply. Yoochun’s smile broke into a grin as he happily took Junsu’s left hand and put one of the band on the other’s ring finger. Standing up, he held out the box to Junsu, from which the younger man took another silver ring and put it on Yoochun’s slender finger.

“Thank you, Junsu. I promise I’ll love you forever, always trying to bring happiness into your life as you did to mine,” Yoochun said, looking deeply into Junsu’s eyes. Tears of happiness really did trail down along Junsu’s cheeks this time as he listened to Yoochun’s confession; silently thanking the God above for letting them crossed each other’s path.

“Chunnie, thank you. For loving me, for letting me to be by your side, and I will always be.”

That fateful night, the couple sealed their love with tears and emotions but neither of them was aware of what future had in store for them.

It had been a week. Clad in a simple white T-shirt and a pair of worn-out jeans, Junsu found himself standing on the wide balcony, feeling tiny droplets of rain as they hit his face. The day that he dreaded had come, the day he was afraid he would have to let Yoochun go. The sky above him continued to cry along with his heart. Drowning in sorrow, he heard someone knocked at the door. Once. Twice. Junsu ignored it. He wasn’t ready to talk to anyone although he was doing better compared to the past seven days. There was another knock before the door was opened and closed again after a few seconds. Silently, as if the intruder was afraid any noise would break Junsu into pieces.

“Junsu, aren’t you ready yet?” Yunho’s voice came from behind as he made his way to Junsu. Finally standing next to him, Junsu could see his hyung had already dressed up in his black suit, looking stylish but still modest and sorrowful. The type of suit you see rich people wore during funerals. The leader’s hair was jet-black, and there was no trace of make-up on his face but the man still looked so handsome. Even his sleek shirt was black, and it was matched with a dark blue tie. Junsu decided that he despised black; for it would always remind him of death and sorrow.

“I’m not going hyung,” he simply said, throwing his gaze in front, still avoiding Yunho’s eyes. “I’m just not going. It’s ridiculous going to this-, this thing when he isn’t even dead. Don’t you think so?” He didn’t want to say ‘funeral’, because he hated it. Junsu hated the fact how at first everyone was so freaked out and torn with Yoochun’s incident, and now they were fussing about his funeral, for God’s sake. How can they let him go just like that? They didn’t even found his body and yet they’re holding up a funeral? Junsu desperately grasped to his logic. He wanted to scream to Yunho that Yoochun wasn’t dead, but he felt a big lump at his throat blocking his words.

The elder was at loss of words. When they learned that no one was alive from the catastrophe, he did not expect Junsu to take it easily. Heck, all of them cried and mourned for Yoochun, they really did. But when it was time to let go, you had to let go. But not for Junsu.

“Su-ah…” Yunho wasn’t sure how to continued, but he did- “Yoochun is gone.” Something snapped in Junsu. “Yoochun is not dead! He’s not gone, not going anywhere hyung. He’s here with me.” His voice was high but it eventually broke into a cry towards the end, which Jaejoong could see he struggled to hold it back. “Yoochun is still here, with me,” Junsu repeated slowly, as if he was trying to assure himself more than Yunho.

The two men stood in a brief silence under the crying sky before Junsu pulled himself together, looked at Yunho and firmly said, “I’m just not going.”

“Junsu! Junsu-ah, wait up! What’s wrong babe?”

Yoochun finally managed to corner his beloved duckbutt when they reached their apartment. Sure, the concert was tiring as hell and Yoochun swore his every muscle was starting to ache but he could not rest properly, not until he figured out what the heck was wrong with Junsu, or more precisely why his lover was ignoring him. He grabbed Junsu’s arm only for it to be pulled back by its owner.

“Stop touching me, Micky Yoochun!” Junsu replied mockingly. “And what do you mean what’s wrong?” So, Junsu was playing dumb, huh? Yoochun brows arched a little. Junsu only called him like that when he was fuming mad, which Yoochun had to admit was quite rare to happen. But he guessed one of the rare moments was now. And how exactly do you deal with a fuming Junsu? Only Yoochun knew.

Without a word, Yoochun grabbed Junsu’s shoulder before turning the smaller man around and forced his back onto the wall, careful enough not to hurt his lover. He slammed both of his palms on the peachy-colored wall as well, successfully trapping Junsu in between his arms. Seeing Junsu’s shocked face, Yoochun smirked inwardly and brought his face closer to Junsu, stopping a mere centimeter away.

“Now, Xiah Junsu. Care to tell me what’s wrong?” Yoochun made sure he emphasized on the word ‘Xiah’, as he always loved how Junsu’s stage name sounded so goddamn sexy every time it slipped off his lips. His lover still refused to look at him, with the luscious lips pouting ever so cutely that Yoochun just had the urge to kiss them senseless.

He leaned over to Junsu’s left, making sure his own lips brushed the other’s earlobe as he whispered, “When I say what’s wrong, I mean as in why are you avoiding me, and why are so mad at me?”. He finished it off seductively, and a victory smile unseen to Junsu spread across his handsome feature as Yoochun could feel Junsu shuddered a little due to their close proximity. Too close, too dangerous.

Yoochun pulled back to look at Junsu fully in the face, not surprised to find the man blushing. Still securely trapped between Yoochun’s long arms, Junsu managed to retort, “Yah, where are you touching you perv? And I, Kim Junsu, am not jealous whatsoever nor do I care what you did, okay?” His big eyes rounded as he realized what he had just said.

“So, you are jealous, huh? I guess Jae-hyung was right-“

At the mention of Jaejoong’s name, Yoochun could almost see ‘JEALOUS ALERT’ in red neons across Junsu’s not-so-wide forehead. He chuckled a little but that only made Junsu more irritated than he already had.

“How many times must I tell you, I am not jealous. For all I care you are free to go to your soul mate-“ Junsu never got the chance to finish his sentence as Yoochun leaned over again, this time fully capturing Junsu’s blabbering lips with his own. Surprised by the sudden intervention, Junsu tried to push the slightly taller man away only to eventually give in as the kiss deepened, roughly but still so gently.

Finally surrendered to his lungs needs of oxygen, Yoochun cut off the kiss and stared deeply into the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. “Never doubt my love Su. Never ever. It was you, it is you and there will be only you.”

A/N: Inserted some flashbacks, although the story is kinda angsty especially on Junsu's part, I still need my YooSu love.
