Thank you for this. I've been depressed ever since reading the spoilers and I desperately needed this to help me see that things might not be so bad, if they do a good job with it. Now they just have to live up to your version. :)
Well thank you! Glad you liked. I'm the camp that thinks the idea of this could work very well, assuming there is a reason Sam quits hunting. As long as we see him make an effort and not get anywhere, I'm cool with it and am looking forward to seeing where it takes him. He's going back to his season 1 roots, which is interesting to me.
Okay. This is how it has to be. Period. I will not accept Sam just blythely saying, 'Oh well, Dean's gone, I'm free now...' I don't normally get pissed about what the show does because it's their vision, not mine...but really, Sam can't just be all right and 'normal' just poof!--Look how hard it was for Dean, I don't want to think Sam loves Dean less...
So I am hanging on to this version just in case the show messes up...
I do not believe for one second that Sam will leave SucroCorp and say, "I'm lost. Guess I'll get a girlfriend." I just think at some point he'll realize he has no way of finding Dean and will be able to go back to the drunken, suicidal mess he was between seasons 3 and 4 or move on. I think at this point, he's matured enough to choose the latter. I'm just hopeful that we'll see, in flashbacks it sounds like, Sam's vain search for Dean.
