the search for the right home has begun. faced with the fact that we will more than likely be moving in the next two months, i began to take inventory of everything i have acquired over the last few years....
i realized two things:
a house fills up fast
i have a ton of shit but not a ton of shit all at the same time
so what to do? well.. another realization was that if something is not needed or has gone unused for an extended period of time i generally sell it, donate or throw it out if unusable. and that is precisely what i have been doing for the last year or so since we knew we would be looking for a new house.
there is almost nothing left to throw away. short of throwing away things that are actually important or things that i genuinely use (or may use at different times of the year)... the reality sets in that yes, i have to move all of this shit. it has to go with me. and i have to start over somewhere... finding the perfect place for things, designating certain spots for specific items....
this is all so horrifying to me. disruption of my living space is probably my ultimate uncomfortable situation.
this coming weekend is the first in a few where we will be attempting to see as many homes as possible in the hopes of having picked something by mid-april... i'm already stressed!
