Harry Potter release party
the release party was awesome! i was really upset when the only person from school who came was Christine Kirk but o well. i got there around 8:30. i was kinda early because it started at nine but i just wanted to get my book. so anyways, i waited around with my dad for any of my friends, when who should show up but Jill Bacon and Kelsey Bacon! we kinda just wandered around the store (Barnes and Noble), stopping occasionally to watch the special guests. these two people who were dressed up as Hagrid and Proffessor McGonnagal came in and told us about Griffins. they brought in an electronic one. the griffin was kinda cute actually. so then we walked around some more and i ran into Christine. we had a brief conversation and then i went on my way with Jill. my dad stopped me and asked me if i wanted anything to eat and/or drink. we went up to the cafe. i got a GIGANTIC chocolate chip cookie and a water bottle.
Jill and i got really bored so we just went looking through a baby naming book. there were some pretty funny names like 'Rice', 'rock', and a lot of other ones that i couldnt pronounce. so we were walking around the store and there was a Harry Potter trivia game going on. Jill and i just kept answering the answers to each other. i actually answered a question. it was "who is the Ravenclaw seeker?" the answer was of course Cho Chang. so i got a lollipop (which was root beer flavored. i hate root beer period) and we went walking around the store some more.
when it finally got close to midnight everyone was lined up at the front of the store. we counted down from ten. and every time they said a number we said "Q!" it was really funny. and when the finally called out our numbers (109, me. and 120, jill) we ran into line. we were some of the first people of our numbers to be called. that was a really good night.
i finished the book in under 2 days. i wont give away anything but the ending is really sad. i cried when i read it.
there is one more thing. I GOT MY EARS PIERCED A SECOND TIME!!!!! *jumps up and down*
