As you may know, I already have three other blogs--one to track my writing, one for my poetry, and one for my non-poetry writing. They're pathetic really, with the latest update to any of them being in March.
And yet, I still want to make two more.
I may just delete the other three, or at least Glass Wall and (Almost) Professional English Nerd. For some reason, I have this paranoia that, if I put any of my writing up online, it's going to be snatched up and plagiarized. Kind of an arrogant fear, I know, but there it is. For some reason, I'm not so afraid of this happening with my poetry. Go figure.
Anyway, the other two would be the previously-mentioned Marketing/Advertising one, discussing advertising, product campaigns, etc. I'm still tempted to make it a LiveJournal community, but I think it'd be harder to find participants. With Blogger/Blogspot, you barely need to do anything to comment on an entry--name and e-mail or website, Gmail sign-in, or even anonymous (allowed as long as no one abuses it). With LiveJournal, you have to go through this whole thing to be able to comment, and seems to call for more commitment.
The other would be for my tactile projects, i.e. my cross-stitching/embroidery. I'm really proud of them, and I'd like to have a place to showcase them. Plus, if I get even a few followers, it'd be motivation to keep it up! I really love the idea of sharing the process--posting pictures of the progress and finished product, writing about choices (designs, colors, sizes, etc), tracking how many hours, etc.
Of course, the most-fun part of making a new blog? The name! With the embroidery blog, I may just call it RuStitch or something similarly boring. No ideas at all yet for the other one. I'll take any and all suggestions into consideration, even the silly ones! Especially the silly ones!
I'll also be posting this call-to-creativity to Twitter and Facebook...let's see what my friends and family think up!
