Sell A Band This looks like a really cool concept. The jist: You find a band you like. You donate $10. When 5,000 people have donated a total of $50,000 to that band, they get recorded. All those who donated get an exclusive CD, a portion of online sales, and a chance to sell band-related merchandise. They own a part of the band. I think that is just the coolest thing ever. So far it's worked for 7 artists

Psst--you musicians out there might wanna clicky clicky. ;)

Been feeling kinda crappy lately, including heartburn and a mental Bad Day yesterday that kept me home from work--but that's alright. I'll survive. My work schedule looms over me. In the next week I will work 50 hours, broken down into: 8 hours, 12 hours, day off, 12 hours, 9 hours, 9 hours. The fact that this will earn me about over $300 is what is keeping me going. That and I'll be down to a somewhat normal schedule when school starts, ignoring Labor Day weekend.

Speaking of school, I gots my textbooks. Over $300, and that was with Mom's discount...and don't think I don't see that cosmic trickiness there, the amount I'll be earning next week gone in one semester's worth of books. I am incredibly lucky to not have to worry about that.

So anyway, yeah, 4 textbooks, 3 of which I'll be carrying together 2 days a week. One of them--the Film Study book--we actually had a million of at the Co-op. Notice: "had". They were used in a past semester, not this one, and now they're allllll gone. At least, I think they are...when I looked up the book in the store computer, it didn't show up. I'll be checking the shelves tomorrow, just in case.

Hung out with Dad yesterday, looking at photography books and chilling out. That was awesome--but then, it always is. :) Need to do that more often. But knew that already as well. Also need to get ass moving on marketing him...he's so fantastically fucking talented, and the world needs to see it!!

Mom has agreed to the idea of carpooling at least one, but possibly two days a week when school starts, as long as her boss goes for it. Save some wear and tear (and $$$$) on the cars, which is good, since I had to get two new tires, and alignments, done today. More money gone, yay! -.-

Alright, I need to shower and finish laundry and such and SLEEEEEEEEP.

Oh, one last thing: Finished Half-Blood Prince. Almost cried. Shut up.

spiffy, school, car, book, money, work
